Several interface issues with 3.0 and subsequent updates

I thought the new interface was a nice improvement but I keep running into all kinds of issues. One that I really dislike is the completely broken behavior of referencing terminal output in chat. Add to chat is missing and is a known issue that is not yet resolved but even the workaround (command-l on Mac, something that was not explicitly noted in the posts) has stopped working.

Among other things, the ability to interrupt/ pause agent operation disappeared and has just now reappeared. The whole terminal behavior is a step back from before. Renaming stuff sometimes disappears, and then comes back. There are many bigger/ smaller issues and I don’t want to generate a laundry list, but my request is just this: I hope Cursor team will be more meticulous in safe-guarding against regressions with every update. This will perhaps also help reduce the frequency of the updates.

And please fix the the broken behavior of adding terminal output to chat - right now my chats are ballooning because of all the copy/ paste of message.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. We’re aware of all the issues you listed, and the team’s tracking them.

On the main pain point, Add to Chat from the terminal, the button can be broken in the new UI right now. Until it’s fixed, use Cmd+L or Cmd+I with text selected in the terminal. That should add the selection to chat. If Cmd+L stopped working, can you share which Cursor version you’re on? This workaround worked in the latest builds.

Rename and interrupt or pause are also on our radar. No ETA yet, but reports help us prioritize.

I’ll pass along your feedback about being more careful with regressions. That’s a fair point.

Let me know if the Cmd+L or Cmd+I workaround doesn’t work.
