Severe Data Loss & UI Reset After Purchasing Additional Usage Credits

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I encountered a critical bug resulting in the loss of both my code modifications and my chat history after purchasing additional usage credits.

I added $20 in extra usage on top of my current plan to continue making modifications to my code (working with Fable 5.1). During my first pass, a bug occurred: all my actions were undone, and the entire chat thread was completely deleted, despite the payment being successful.

I tried a second time, but when I reached the limit again, the exact same thing happened: the UI reset to its default state, and all code modifications applied by the AI were automatically erased.

Steps to Reproduce

Exhaust the standard plan quota.

Add $20 in additional credits to continue usage.

Generate and apply code modifications via the chat.

Encounter a payment sync or reach the new usage threshold.

Expected Behavior

The UI should maintain its current state, save the applied code modifications, and keep the chat history accessible, even if a usage limit is reached.

Operating System

Windows 10/11
