Show last update time in chat

Feature request for product/service

Chat

Describe the request

I want to Cursor can show the time at the end of a chat.

Problem

When I review my code, I will look at the code git history and the chat history, but I don’t know the exact time about the chat, so it is difficult to find a chat suit for a git history commit.

Operating System (if it applies)

Windows 10/11

like this, as the picture:

Hey, thanks for the feature request. I see the screenshot. The timestamp looks like 2026-05-22 17:15 at the end of the turn. Makes sense, you want to match a chat turn to a git commit by time.

This is a popular request, and there’s already a main thread collecting feedback and votes: Timestamp for Chat Messages & Tool Calls. Please add your vote there and share your git history use case so everything stays in one place and it’s easier for the team to prioritize.

I can’t share an exact ETA, but it’s on the radar. Any updates will be posted in that thread.

Thanks for Cursor Team. Now, I can see the timestamp in the end of the chat message.

But I advice that, the timestamp can show as a exactly time, not xx ago.
