Feature request for product/service
Chat
Describe the request
Summary
Display the model used in each chat session directly in the chat history list, without requiring the user to open the chat.
Current Behavior
To identify which model was used in a past chat, you must click on it, wait for it to load, and then inspect the model indicator — adding unnecessary friction.
Desired Behavior
Show a small model label or badge next to each chat entry in the history panel, visible at a glance.
Use Cases
-
Plan/Execute split: Forking a chat to plan with one model (e.g. o3) and execute with another (e.g. Sonnet) — you need to quickly identify which fork is which.
-
Model exploration: Testing how different models respond within an in-progress chat, after which Multimodel is no longer available. Later, you need to recall which session used which model.
Why It Matters
Chat history becomes harder to navigate as sessions multiply across models. A simple inline label would eliminate the need to load each chat just to confirm its model context.
