Show plugin name next to skill name in the slash command menu

Feature request for product/service

Describe the request

Problem

Plugins can register skills with generic, commonly reused names like init or doctor. When multiple installed plugins define a skill with the same name, the slash command menu only shows the skill name — not which plugin it comes from. This makes it hard to tell which init or doctor you’re about to invoke, especially once you have more than one or two plugins installed.

Proposal

In the slash command autocomplete/menu, show the owning plugin alongside (or below) each skill name, e.g.:

/init (repobuddy) /init (uip-pods) /doctor (unional-skills)

This could be a small muted label/suffix similar to how VS Code/Cursor already shows source hints for other command palette entries.

Why this matters

As the plugin ecosystem grows, name collisions between skills become more likely. Without visible plugin attribution, users have to guess or invoke the wrong skill, which is error-prone and erodes trust in slash commands as plugins scale.

Operating System (if it applies)

Windows 10/11

Hey @hwong, thanks for the suggestion. We have an open feature request for this, and I’ve added your ask to it.

A couple of things that may help in the meantime: plugin skills in the / menu already use the plugin’s own logo as the row icon when the plugin ships one, and if you hover a row (or arrow onto it) the preview card names the plugin and who published it, with a link to open that plugin.

You’re right that the name itself isn’t shown inline, so two plugins with the same skill name and no distinct logos still look alike in the list. I’ve passed this along to the team as a request.
