Feature request for product/service
Cursor IDE
Describe the request
Reviewing AI-generated changes using stacked diffs becomes impractical as soon as the changes go beyond a few lines. For any moderately complex modification, the current workflow makes it very difficult to properly understand what is being changed.
Because of this, I often end up blindly clicking Apply and then switching to another IDE just to review the local changes using a side-by-side diff. This back-and-forth between tools is not user-friendly and completely breaks the development flow. It also becomes unworkable when doing iterative or subsequent modifications, where context and accuracy are critical.
A built-in side-by-side diff viewer for AI-generated changes would dramatically improve usability and trust in the output. This feels like a small feature on the surface, but it has a huge impact on real-world workflows—especially for non-trivial code changes.
I genuinely love the product overall, but this missing capability is significant enough that it could push users to rely on other tools or workflows, which would be unfortunate given how strong the rest of the experience is.
