I came across this : How Small Language Models Are Key to Scalable Agentic AI | NVIDIA Technical Blog. I usually select Claude Sonnet 4 with agent mode but I’m wondering if agents all use Sonnet 4. Or do they use SLM’s ? And if so which ?
Tangentially related : where is my usage displayed in an understandable fashion, like it was a few weeks back e.g. x of 500 requests used; when the reset happens etc ? I got a warning that I was on a track to resource exhaustion this month – probably cos I almost always use Claude – but where can I see that ?
Agent Models: The agent uses whichever model you select from the dropdown. If you choose Claude 4 Sonnet, that’s what it will use for its main reasoning.
Quick question for you: When you mentioned “Agent,” were you referring to the “Agent” mode in the model selector? If so, you can pick the Model you want to have. Activate the models inside IDE Settings => Model
Usage Display: You’re right, the system has changed. Cursor now uses a credit-based system instead of a simple request count (like “x of 500”).
You can find your detailed usage, cost per request, and reset date in the Usage tab of your Dashboard on the Cursor website. Cursor - The AI Code Editor
