It’s still so slow, constantly thinking, reading, and processing its next move endlessly. It’s been 6 days now, and with my subscription about to expire, I’m being pushed to consider an alternative tool.
I’ve been using cursor without any issues 2 months ago. I come back to it and pay the subscription fee…. only to sit here waiting for simple changes taking freakin 30 minutes. No VPN, same network, all models. You guys really need to fix this. You are going to lose alot of subs. I’m contemplating leaving.
ok, heres a solution that INSTANTLY solved it. Seems like the ISP is blocking or slowing something down with cursor specifically. As soon as I used a VPN, instantly all requests went through normally. So even though cursor throws that VPN error, turns out USING the VPN is what solves it. The ISP might have some rules in place that inteferes with cursor. Try testing with a VPN.
Same
Haiku and Grok is ok. But GPT…
It’s still so slow, constantly thinking, reading, and processing its next move endlessly.
Today it is unusable again, but what is happening?
Yesterday I also had the same problem all the time, but today with version 2.0.60 It didn’t occur a single time for me, despite heavy usage.
Is this a server side or a client side problem?
I have noticed the same.
Cursor on auto mode us unusably slow the past couple of days.
Even copilot feels blazing fast compared to how terrible cursor is performing.
It is not uncommon for a prompt to take 2-5 minutes to complete.
It is not stuck, it is progressing through its plan, but it’s just that every step is taking waaaay longer then normal (before 2.0 and their own model).
I though the new model was supposed to be faster?
i ahve been having the same frustrating issues with agents for the past few days
agents are generating responses extremely slowly at completely random times sometimes they are “thinking” for like 30+ seconds before even starting to write anything, and then when they finally do start, the actual generation is super slow too the same type of request might take 5 seconds one time and over a minute the next time, with no rhyme or reason to it.
sometimes the agent just completely freezes mid-response. like it’ll be writing something, then just… stops. ihave to send another message just to get it to wake up and continue working….
claude sonnet 4.5 cursor 2.0.77 but i think its starts since 2.0
not to mention the amount of wasted tokens…
