Hey, thanks for the report.

This error is commonly caused by MCP servers or network settings. Let’s check a few things:

Quick fix to try first:

- If you have MCP servers configured, try disabling them temporarily - this fixed similar issues for other users

Diagnostics needed:

1. Cursor Settings \> Network \> Run Diagnostics - share a screenshot
2. Disable HTTP/2: Press `CMD+,` \> search “HTTP/2” \> enable “Disable HTTP/2” \> restart Cursor
3. Test with clean profile: `cursor --user-data-dir=/tmp/cursor-test` from terminal

Please also share:

- 2-3 Request IDs from failed attempts (Chat menu \> Copy Request ID)
- What extensions do you have installed?
- Are you using any MCP servers?
- What region/country are you in?
- Using VPN or proxy?

Similar solved case where MCP servers were the cause: [GPT-5.2 - agent mode not working](https://forum.cursor.com/t/gpt-5-2-agent-mode-not-working/146758)

Let me know what you find.
