Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

Submit anything with sonic as selected agent and I get a modal appearing with this message:

INVALID MODEL

The model sonic does not work with your current plan or api key

Tried exiting and restarting cursor. Same result.
Tried using another model for a while (other model works), same result when I switch back to sonic.
Tried waiting 20 minutes. Same result.

Before 12 midday EST today, sonic worked for me 100% of the time. After 12 midday, I started to get these modals preventing me from using it.

I am a legacy PRO user with the additional usage-based pricing setting.

Steps to Reproduce

Submit anything with sonic as selected agent in Cursor IDE and get this modal almost immediately

Expected Behavior

Should route my request to sonic as normal

It is BEYOND annoying the way servers are added and taken away without any graceful message. There should be a popup at a minimum, maybe when the session starts explaining the changes rather than Cursor looking like it is smiling with a gapped-tooth grin.

I wonder if the cursor team will ever learn to write tests… maybe we should suggest they try AI?
