I recently discovered what a Cloud Agent can do in a Multi Repo environment.
However, for my Flutter App, when it’s clicking arroung, even though Grok 4.5 Fast is selected, it keeps choosing Sonnet 4.5 No Thinking for this task.
I don’t personally hate Sonnet 4.5, but I would like to choose a cheaper model for this operation.
This one is expected. When a Cloud Agent clicks around in your app, that work is handed to a dedicated computer-use subagent, which runs on a model selected on our side (currently Sonnet 4.5 No Thinking). We’ve found that it’s an ideal fit for this purpose, so the model is intentionally chosen for performance reasons (not cost). There’s no setting to change that model right now, and I’d steer you away from disabling Sonnet 4.5 under Cursor Settings > Models to try to force it. Let me know any follow-up questions!
@kevinn This is unacceptable. Restricting this to Sonnet 4.5 only, with no way to switch models, is a real problem.
I understand it may work best with Sonnet, and I’m fine with that as the default. What I’m not fine with is being locked into a single, very expensive model. I have a lot of usage left for Cursor models on my plan, and I want to be able to use it, even if the results will be worse.
Please add model choice (or at least allow other models) instead of forcing Sonnet 4.5 only.
Further to this, I don’t want Sonnet 4.5 No Thinking contributing to my API usage if I cannot actually control it. I would prefer it used a model like Composer or Luna.
