Describe the request

Simply add the number of modified files to the badge on the Source Control Manager icon. Just like natively in VS Code.
For Linux and Windows, but I don’t know for MacOS.

Had to move this panel to the left just because of this. Otherwise I really liked the idea of it being on the top

Hey, thanks for the feature request. The VS Code setting scm.countBadge doesn’t work in Cursor right now. The badge that shows the modified file count is missing from the Source Control icon.

I’ve flagged this with the team. No ETA yet, but your report and the votes in this thread help us prioritize it.
