SSH plugin traffic counters hide P4 menu

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Anysphere SSH plugin traffic counters override Perforce for VS Code menu.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install and enable Perforce for VS Code and Anysphere SSH.
  2. Connect to remote client with active P4 config.

Result: P4 menu will intermittently appear at the bottom of the Cursor window, but will be almost immediately replaced by the SSH traffic counters. Usually though not always, the P4 menu will not reappear until after switching tabs, which will then produce SSH traffic and bring up the counters again.

Expected Behavior

I do not need SSH traffic counters. I do need the P4 menu. It’s not clear whether this is a bug in one or both plugins, but if it is not possible for the SSH plugin to avoid overriding the P4 menu, there should be an option to simply not display traffic counters.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

The ssh traffic counter also hides the R language extension message in the status bar. On disabling the traffic monitor and restarting cursor, the status of the R extension comes back.
