Getting the same here, started about 10-15 mins ago.

Same, mine started doing that about 10ish minutes ago. It just randomly started working.

Edit: it worked for about 1 minute lol

Same Issue. Probably related to Cursor Status - Elevated Background Agent Startup Failures

Experiencing the same issue here, especially with thinking models. Fair amount of success with auto, but it’s not always a sure bet. Hasn’t slowed down dev much, but it does ■■■■ when it meanders through a larger task and fails.

I have same issue.

I have the same problem

Same here, I thought it was because I made two AIs argue with each other.

Can you try if this works?
enable HTTP/1.1 fallback in app settings (not Cursor settings): press CMD/CTRL + ,, search for HTTP/2, then enable Disable HTTP/2. This forces HTTP/1.1 usage and resolves the issue.

Can you also share Network Diagnostics?
Go to Cursor Settings > Network and click Run Diagnostics. This will test your connection to Cursor’s servers and help identify any network-related issues that might be affecting AI features, updates, or other online functionality.

hi everyone, our system had a temporary outage around that time which has already stabilized. Please let me know if you still have the same issue now.
