I finished the verification process and got an email from SheerID Verification saying “Congratulations: your student status is confirmed” with a link labelled “Apply Discount” that directs me to “cursor . com/student-verified” (space added to show url). This immediately redirects to “cursor . com/dashboard?tab=settings”, just the regular Cursor dashboard, and I am prompted to reverify my student status again, only to end up back here again.

I’m at ETH Zurich (originally verified as a student on May 8, 2025) but I have encountered issues re-verifiying starting from Sep 18, 2025.
I tried with my student ID but it didn’t work and got the “Verification Limit Exceeded” message. I contacted the SheerID and Cursor team by email.
The SheerID team responded re-opening the verification form and allowing me to try again. I tried again 3 times with my student ID or confirmation of matriculation, following their instructions, and was again unsuccessful. I reached again the error “Verification Limit Exceeded”. I re-contacted the SheerID team but haven’t heard back since.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!
@condor I’ve been verified since Wed 5/7/25 and received the “We have confirmed your student status return to cursor to finish applying your discount”. When I click apply discount I get taken to cursor dashboard and nothing happens/ no discount is applied to checkout when I try to checkout pro. I have been given the run around from support and even got direct email from Michael T asking what my issue was and didn’t respond to my response. I contacted Sheer to which they provided me with the info pertaining to below.
I successfully verified my student account previously, but I did not miss the re-verification email sent in September. I tried to reverify but all the time it showed that there was an issue with sheer id verification, and this issue persisted until my reverification deadline has passed, I even sent a mail regarding this, but customer care did not even reply or check my case. I got a general reply.
Would really appreciate any help and thank you for your time.
I’m currently on the Cursor Student Plan and my access expires on Dec 6.
The Student Plan being discontinued specifically for Turkey creates an unfair situation: we lost access due to a country-level policy change.
Please consider extending the student plan access for current/verified student users in Turkey, at least as a grandfathered exception, so we can continue our ongoing projects without disruption.
My re-verification link expired (ended up only seeing the email in October, and have just been waiting to see if another re-verification process would start) What can I do?
I missed the re-verification window in September, I wanted to see if It was possible to get a new link and reverify now. Any helps is greatly appreciated!
I hope you’re doing well. There has been no update on my end since september when the reverification link did not work for me (uploaded all the materials to SheerID but it did not verify me). Please let me know if there is a fix.
I missed my reverification email and have come back to cursor but now unable to reverify (link 404’s) to continue my year of student cursor. Is there a way to have the reverification link resent? Thanks
