Student Verification Issues

Hi, I’ve already passed the student verification, but the “Apply Discount” button in the confirmation email didn’t redirect me to Stripe — it just takes me to my dashboard and nothing happens.

When I tried verifying my student status again, I got this message: “Verification Limit Exceeded – We’re glad you’re enthusiastic, but it looks like you’ve already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer.”

Could you please help me resolve this? My 7-day Pro trial is about to expire. Thank you.

Hi @condor , I got this issue and haven’t been resolved for over 2 months, can you help me with this issue since I have a valid student id card but this error prones to appear so many times.

Kindly note that verification is also being actively improved by SheerID. We do not process documents manually here in the forum.

Hi condor, sadly I have the same exact problem and sheerID just doesn’t seem to respond. After verifying I also got the “limit exceeded” page.

But I did get the confirmation of my student ID in the email, it seems like only the last step is missing?

Hi @condor, I’m logged in using my .edu email and tried verifying with a REAL ID, but I keep getting the same unclear error message mentioned earlier in the thread. Could you please help me resolve this issue? Thanks!

@condor Hey - impossible for me to verify my ID. It gets rejected every time. Im an international Student doing a CS degree at UoPeople. Got my edu mail too.

Hi @condor, I’ve been having the same issue w/”Verification Limit exceeded” after trying several times w/different valid forms of verification. Any help would be appreciated! My email is a valid .edu email of a recognized university. Thanks!

Hi @condor, I’m constantly facing the “We were unable to match your ID to the details you entered on the form. Please try again.” error despite trying both my ID and passport a few times. I contacted SheerID’s support, but only received a generic response from them. Could you please help me?

Hi @condor, I’m facing the same issues with “We had trouble validating your ID. Please contact SheerID support.“ like others before me. I tried applying with multiple government IDs - but none of them work. Also i contacted sheerID support, but i got only generic responses that didn’t help me. Could you help me?

I did the process of entering my stuff then I was sent an email to finish verifying then it took me to a page saying “We are unable to process your verification request.” so I did it again 3 more times now It says I’ve attempted to many times so I waited to see if I could retry but I can’t after over 4 weeks is there any way you could help?

Exactly same here…It’s been a month now and I am stuck at ““You’re almost there”

Kept trying to verify several, several times to verify and got emails back and forth, but nothing, nothing happens after. The furthest I’ve done was “You’re almost there”…but nothing happens after this confirmation email. I’ve uploaded my passport pic 20 times, I have signed with my student acc back and forth, tried to activate directly from cursor…nothing gets me past “You’re almost there”…

As soon as I click on verify button, a page loads with this message:

Check your email
An email has been sent to your email account with a personalized link to complete the verification process. Please check for an email from us ([email protected]) for all the details.”

But, there’s never an email from them.

Hi @condor, I’m having the same “We had trouble validating your ID. Please contact SheerID support.” as everyone else, and I contacted support, but have not received any actual response. I think the problem is that my university is online AND has physical campuses, but only the physical campuses show on the drop down.

Hi @condor, really appreciate you spending your time. I’ve spent a couple hours trying to debug why my student verification hasn’t been working and would deeply appreciate if you could help me out!

I’m seeing the exact same errors as the others in this thread:

  • SheerID Page: “We had trouble validating your ID.”
  • or, SheerID Page: “This document is not supported. Please try again with a supported government-issued ID.”

I’ve contacted SheerID’s support team and they haven’t gotten back to me. I also emailed [email protected], but they redirected me back to SheerID. Is there any chance you could help me out please?

I have clear ID documentation, my university exists in the dropdown, and am using the respective .edu email for my school. SheerID was of no help when I emailed them.

I have the exact same problem as everyone else - I’m an active student at a US university, yet SheerID gives the same error (“we had trouble validating your ID”), the verification attempts were limited. Reaching out to SheerID resulted in them removing the limit and giving the same canned response as all other cases here, which didn’t help as the same issue persists. I can, however, use SheerID to get student plans on other services that use it.
