I am trying to verify my account with edu.pl(Poland) domain to get the Cursor AI student license.
Unfortunately, the automated verification system gives an error every time I upload a scan of my student ID card. I’ve tried several times, but it continues to fail.

Hello, I created a cursor account using my student email ending with .edu and I attempted to verify my ID using SheerID and I got the error stating “We had issues verifying your ID”, now I am unable to reattempt because I am now getting the error stating “You have reached your verification limit”. Does anyone know what I am supposed to do? I already contacted sheer support.

Hi I am also having the same issues of not being able to get verified correctly, I have never redeemed the cursor offer and sheerID, cursor help just redirects this problem to each other. I really need help

I’m also having issues with SheerID’s “Verification Limit Exceeded. We’re glad you’re enthusiastic, but it looks like you’ve already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer.”

I have clear ID documentation, my university exists in the dropdown, and am using the respective .edu email for my school. SheerID was of no help when I emailed them.

@condor I am also having issues with SheerID verification. It says to upload a Drivers License but on their FAQ it says other things like student ID or Acceptance Letter. I uploaded my drivers license but it wouldn’t work. Now it says I’ve reached my max tries. I contacted SheerID but they don’t respond even after the 3-7day wait… please help I need to build a project with AI for school.

@condor I’ve been faced with this issue. I have emailed them twice, only to get a response saying that I need to “try again.” After further attempts of trying again, I have received the same error. However, I have been ghosted this time by SheerID staff when I asked them about the verification failure.

I am also facing an issue on not one, but THREE university emails. I cannot get it to work no matter what I do. I’ve tried countless times all with different processes. The system is failed. How would I redo verification? At first, it gave me an error saying it has trouble validating my ID, I refresh the page, and now I can’t try again because of the limit. What do I have to do to get my student discount? I really need this for my class, it’s required and part of it.

I have a verified .edu account and have tried uploading both my driver’s license and passport.
However, each time I receive the error message: “We had trouble validating your ID.”

I’ve ensured the ID photos are clear, original, and meet all the upload requirements.

I’m a Brazilian citizen currently studying at an Australian institution and trying to redeem the student offer.

SheerID always returns: “We are unable to verify you at this time.” I’ve retried multiple times and contacted SheerID and Cursor, they told me to do the process again, but it still fails.

IDs I tried:

• Brazilian national ID

• Brazilian passport

• WA Photo Card

@condor please can I get help as well? I’m stuck in this exact loop as everyone else in this thread. I’ve been following up via email with support (both Sheer and Cursor) for over a month to no avail.

To be more specific:
I am a US national and I uploaded my driver’s license, Sheer said they were unable to verify and I exceeded verification attempts. I am now unable to do anything since I have exceeded verification attempts. Even if I got more attempts, I don’t think SheerID is working properly as all of my documentation was in order.

I can provide literally any documentation you need to verify my student status.

@condor Please help, I’ve been trying for months to get the student offer but SheerID is worse than useless. They take weeks to respond to any inquiry and just reply with the same automated response and then “your ticket is permanently closed”

I’ve submitted perfectly clear photos of my valid ID and I have my student documentation but I just get these errors, now its saying limit exceed so they probably think it’s spam even though I just want to fix it! I’ve been verified as a student for Figma using sheerID too so it’s kind of ridiculous
