Suggestion: Restore 24-Hour Validity for Payment Links (30 Mins is Too Short for Teams)

Feature request for product/service

Billing

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share a workflow issue that has been significantly impacting our team’s efficiency with Cursor.

We’re a tech team using Cursor for collaboration. Internally, we have a standard procedure where a tech lead generates the payment link, submits it to our finance/procurement team for review, and then they complete the payment after approval.

Previously, the payment link was valid for 24 hours (one day) , which comfortably covered our internal workflow.

Recently, however, we’ve noticed that the payment link expiration has been shortened to just 30 minutes. For any team with a formal internal process, this is nearly impossible to work with. The link often expires before the process is complete, forcing us to repeatedly request new links. It’s quite disruptive.

Hi @ivv5!

Thanks for the feedback. You’re right that this timeout did change.

Are you purchasing individual plans, or is this checkout in the context of a team plan?

We are purchasing individual plans (Pro/Pro+) for each team member, not a unified team plan.

Thanks, @ivv5.

The 30-minute payment link is here to stay. That said, I’d encourage your team to look into the new Team Plan pricing, which may be an attractive offer for your team. It would also allow you to centralize billing in one place.

Thanks for your reply.

Regarding the Team Plan suggestion – we have actually reviewed it. But what we need is more than just centralized billing. Our core requirements are:

  • Pooled usage: Our team members have uneven usage patterns, and per-seat independent billing is difficult to manage;
  • Advanced security controls: Audit logs, access restrictions, and other security features are essential for us as a formal development team.

Neither of these is available in the Team Plan, so what we really need is the Enterprise Plan.

We have already submitted Enterprise plan inquiries through the official Contact Sales form on the website, but no one has ever reached out to us. That’s partly why I posted here.

So my questions are:

  1. Could someone from the Enterprise Sales team contact me directly? We genuinely have a need to upgrade.
  2. While we are connecting with the Enterprise Sales team, could we request a 24-hour link validity (or a more flexible payment window) to accommodate our internal approval process?

We cannot accommodate a change to the checkout link’s validity, but you can get in touch with our sales team about the Enterprise plan here!
