Tab key clearing selection instead of autocompleting

When you have some text selected, which is a comon thing to do when you want to change some variable name or something like that, and autocomplete shows up and you hit on the tab button to perform the autocomplete, instead of doing autocomplete it is clearing out the selection. This has happend dozens of time to me since the update and it is very frustrating. One of the main reasons I use cursor is for autocomplete, so please make this smoother.

I wish cursor team actually looked at this thread and gave some indication as to whether or not they’re looking into it. Some timeline would make this more palatable. As it is, i don’t know if they’re even planning to fix this.

I have the same issue with 0.46.11. It seems this only happens on the first try for a period of time.

Please fix this.

when text is highlighted hitting tab just indents the text instead of using the displayed completion…
