I downloaded cursor, works great, i used it and is amazing, but when i opened next day, it says: Taking a Little while… so i waited an hour, and still loading. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but nothing works, i changed network to 1.0 and 1.1 but still Taking a Little while message. Please help me as I really need cursor. Even if i create a new chat, the chat doesnt load.
Hey, this looks like a known issue where the Agents window gets stuck on “Taking a little while…” It’s being tracked, but there’s no ETA for a fix yet.
A couple things to try:
Check your version: Help > About, then paste the version number here. A fix for one variant shipped on Apr 18, so if you’re on an older build, updating might help.
Open the Command Palette with Ctrl+Shift+P and run Developer: Reload Window.
After the reload, try starting a new empty chat, and don’t open any old threads from history.
If none of that helps, share your version and I’ll link this thread to the existing report.
Hey, I get that it’s annoying, but there’s no fix with an exact date yet. The issue is in the Glass team backlog. To move forward, I need the info I asked for above:

Did you try Ctrl+Shift+P → Developer: Reload Window, then start a new empty chat without opening old threads from history?

How do i check my version? and ctrl chift p doesnt do anything, and when i go to help, the three options are: command palette, keyboard shortcuts, view lisence
In Cursor, press Alt. You should see the full top menu (File, Edit, Selection, View, …, Help). Open Help -> About. The version will be there.
If that doesn’t work, open the Command Palette with F1 (if Ctrl+Shift+P doesn’t work) and type About.
Fastest fix that will probably also resolve the bug: download the latest installer from Cursor · Download and reinstall over your current install. After April 18 they shipped a fix for one variant of this bug, so if you’re on an older build, updating should make it work again.
After reinstalling, launch Cursor, and if “Taking a little while…” is still stuck, press Ctrl+Shift+P → Developer: Reload Window, then create a new chat right away. Don’t open old chats from history.

Hey, quick update on this thread: the fix for the hang on “Taking a little while…” has been merged and is shipping in v3.4.15. If you’re still hitting this, update to the latest version from Cursor · Download and it should go away.
