Taking longer then expected every night

I’ve been running into an issue with Composer 2.5 where, almost every night after about 10 PM PST, it becomes randomly and episodically very slow at processing. It’s not constant, but it happens often enough to seriously mess with productivity because prompts seem to go in and out of being stuck.

I’m using Cursor Ultra, and I switched to Ultra about a week ago because I expected Fast mode to be more consistent. Instead, both Fast and Normal seem to slow down during these periods. If I switch to another model, it works fine, or I have to wait until the slowdown passes.

I also notice myself repeatedly stopping and restarting stuck prompts at night, so I assume Cursor must have metrics that would show this increase. Do I need to build something myself just to prove the delay? Cursor should already be able to see this.

Thanks for flagging this! Our numbers don’t currently show any significant differences in performance during those hours.

Could you clarify what feels slowest: the time to first token, or the token generation speed once it gets going? Does starting a new conversation change the behavior?
