I’m on a Teams plan, and on-demand usage is turned OFF for our team.
Before the recent pricing/usage update (two usage pools), after I used up my included usage I could still keep requesting in a free / slow mode (no additional cost), without enabling on-demand.
With the new model, each seat now shows two pools:
Cursor Models
Other Models
My question: With on-demand OFF, if I reach 100% on both pools, can I still make requests at free cost like before (slow pool / free fallback)? Or will requests be fully blocked until the next billing cycle / until we enable on-demand or upgrade?
I just want to confirm the expected behavior for Teams + on-demand disabled.
Officially, once both pools Cursor Models and Other Models hit 100% and on-demand is off, there’s no guaranteed free usage left. The documented behavior is that to keep going you need to either turn on on-demand, upgrade, or wait for the reset in the next billing cycle. So I wouldn’t count on getting anything for free after you hit the limit.
If you expect to hit the limits regularly, it’s worth enabling on-demand with a team spend limit so you can control costs and avoid getting hard-blocked.
