Terminal for cloud agents not loading in Agents window (but is loading on https://cursor.com/agents/)

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

The terminal, for a cloud agent session, will not load in the Cursor Agents window, but it will load (for the exact same session) on cursor.com/agents. Note that I can take control of the desktop in both, and use the terminal (from the desktop) in both.

I would load both screenshots to show this but am unable to attach more than one screenshot to this bug report.

Steps to Reproduce

Create a cloud agent with an environment defined by a Dockerfile and environment.json. Run it with a trivial prompt, and try to open the terminal in the agents window and also on cursor.com/agents

Expected Behavior

I expect the terminal to load in both.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the detailed report and the Request ID. I can see the screenshot. The terminal in the Agents window is stuck on a spinner, even though the same session opens fine on cursor.com/agents.

This is a known bug in the desktop client (Glass). The transport for the cloud agent tmux/WebSocket terminal can silently fail in the Electron window, even though it works in the browser. We’re tracking it, but I can’t share an ETA for a fix yet.

As a workaround, open the cloud agent terminal via cursor.com/agents. It’s the same session there. We’ll post an update in the thread once we have a fix.

Hey @will, quick update on this issue.

We don’t have an ETA yet for fixing the terminal freeze in the desktop Agents window. The workaround is still the same: open the cloud agent terminal via cursor.com/agents, it’s the same session.

Updating to the latest version won’t fix this. If you’re still seeing it on the current Cursor version and the workaround doesn’t cover your case, please start a new thread with updated details (version, steps, any new errors) and we’ll take another look.
