Hey, this is a known issue with terminal output capture in Agent mode.
To troubleshoot, I’ll need a bit more info:
- What OS are you on (Windows/macOS/Linux)?
- What Cursor version (Menu > About Cursor)?
- Are you using the Legacy Terminal Tool or the normal one? (Cursor Settings > Agents > Inline Editing & Terminal)
In the meantime, try one of these:
Quick (no history loss):
- Start a new Agent chat. Sometimes terminal output comes back
- Enable Legacy Terminal Tool: Cursor Settings
CMD+Shift+J> Agents > Inline Editing & Terminal > “Legacy Terminal Tool” > restart Cursor
More drastic (more reliable, but wipes chat history):

The team is aware of the bug, but there’s no universal fix yet. Let me know your OS and whether the workaround helped.
