A Contact Support link that just goes to a blank page… Notifications in account settings of unpaid invoices when they have been paid… References to “Billing Settings” in account settings but no clearly demarcated section or tab for it… No user feedback when pricing limit has been increased, in terms of what exactly that immediately gets the user… etc…
Guys, I know y’all are young and moving fast and probably just want to sell this thing for 200 mil or whatever, but take a beat, slow down, get your together on the user-experience front, mmkay? This kind of stuff is going to quickly make people jump ship to one of the many other competing platforms.
The contact support button should trigger an email on your device, as it is a ‘mailto:’ link, but we are working on a dedicate help centre to replace it with - sorry for the bad UX here.
You will only get an unpaid invoice warning if one exists, but it may be that it is technically “failed” in the billing system, but has since been retried and successful - will see if we can improve the error message here.
If you are on a paid Pro plan, or are the admin of a Business plan, you have a button labeled “Billing” on the left side of your Settings | Cursor - The AI Code Editor page, which I think is what you are referring to here.
Regarding the “pricing limit”, if you are referring to your allowance of requests, we always ask for your confirmation to increase that limit, so it shouldn’t have increase on its own. We are actually now deprecating the “packs” of fast requests, instead preferring our cleaner and simpler usage based pricing model.
We do appreciate feedback like this, and we are dedicated to providing a great experience for Cursor users, so expect to see some improvements around these areas soon!
No, i do not have a Billing option on the left side. I have a basic info and account upgrade block on the left side. There is no option anywhere that I can see, to deal with a missed invoice. There is an alert that says “You have an unpaid invoice. Please check your billing settings to ensure payment is up to date.” yet there is no link or section to take me somewhere that I might resolve it. And now, the cursor desktop app is giving me an alert that says there’s a “Billing Issue” and settings portal link on that alert doesn’t do anything when clicked. So evidently I’m just stuck in limbo with this. Again, very poor UX.
