Text with numbers leads to unreadable text formatting

Describe the Bug

Cursor 2.6.22 is rendering unreadable text when responding with numbers. Image attached.

Per Cursor’s response:

“The dollar signs were triggering LaTeX math rendering — I’ll escape them or just write “USD 340” style going forward. My bad.”

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Cursor IDE
  2. Ask a mathematical reasoning question which will require a response with numbers from Cursor.
  3. Look for unreadable text

Text is properly formatted

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi @jonassteinberg1 Thanks for reporting. We’ve fixed this bug in a newer version of Cursor (looks like you’re on an older version!). If you update your Cursor app, you’ll see this has been solved.
