Just got Windsurf and it’s really good with Claude code. I’m glad that I don’t have to stress anymore with Cursor lack of transparency and this ridiculous new price system change, and I even save money
I won’t lie to you, it was so stupid easy, not even sure what I did. i just followed instructions from Claude Code and Windsurf docs.
Installed Windsurf (didn’t login or anything) and Claude Code Extension, Installed Claude Code and set it with my Pro plan. Then within Windsurf start Claude in terminal, I think it connected automatically.
You can see with /ide command in Claude does it see Windsurf. Also, there’s little info below Claude chat showing, IDE connected.
With Cursor, I was going left, right, up and down and it didnt work. With Windsurf like it was made to work together.
All aboard, this overinflated boat called Cursor, is about to go under…
Just for many those having access to Copilot (Github), seems like they kept up and have a working Agent mode as well now. I just switched to default Visual Studio Code, enabled Github Copilot and run the same prompt through Claude Sonnet 3.7 which worked good enough for now (failed with the default model in Cursor!).
today, I did hit Claude code rate limit on thier Pro plan, the cheap one. I will admit, it took longer than I thought. I was going crazy with MCP usage today, create images, create React components etc. They couldn’t be more clear!
Now I have 2hrs to cook meself a dinner and I can come back and keep “■■■■■■” Claude ![]()
last 2 days, not so heavy usage
What better options are available? Can you please tell
How to set up? And for 17$ plan(cheap pro )? And how many requests can i expect? Can you please guide
Augment Code & Claude Code or Windsurf
How to set up? And with their cheap pro(17$) plan? And how many requests can i expect? Can you please guide
It really depends how you use it but I can easily say, you get more than from Cursor Pro plan
An estimate amount for number of requests? And how to setup and get started?
you should know how to websearch, we kinda have other things to do than tell you what can be easily found online…
I can, but instead of searching and figuring it out, thought it would be better to ask someone, who’s already using. Sorry for wasting your time.
The post looks like AI-based reputation managenent.
Sonnet 4.0 also in Agent mode works with Visual Studio and GitHub Copilot Pro !
Almost like it works in Cursor which is a great relieve, if they don’t get their pricing together I rather increment my GitHub Copilot Subscription and cancel Cursor !
Is there an analogue of semantic code search? I tried another IDE and realized how powerful this tool is in Cursor if the Agent knows how to use it.
Twas that super limited access that pushed me back to intellij when i saw the announcement, I went back to my old fall back license of ultimate and just paid for ai ultimate with em it accesses all the run of the mill ais. Sorry but cursor made a decision that lost them probably alot of business no matter how you spin it the “throttled” access was a main turn on for alot of users. That even when they cap out they can still work, id have rather seen a price increase of plans and kept the slowed ai access over this new ■■■■.
I can’t imagine how you can work in slow requests like mode at all. I tried another IDE where there are queues for 15-30 people on free tariff and it’s just terrible. In half an hour, Grok was just finishing studying the repository.
The issue with slow mode is they never had a way to prevent people like me but worse from abusing it. I had it running fully auto with at least 10 instances of curser going. Probably would have racked up thousands of dollars of usage if everyone else wasn’t subsidizing my usage. And i know i wasn’t the heaviest user.
I paid for the annual Pro plan because models like Opus and Sonnet were included. Suddenly, Opus got paywalled—no warning, just started charging extra. I switched to Sonnet, and now I’m being charged for that too, again with zero notice.
This feels like a bait-and-switch, and I see a lot of people on Reddit and other forums are just as frustrated. I still have almost a year left, but honestly, I’d rather switch to Claude Code even if I lose money.
Anyone actually get a refund, or is there any way to get what we paid for? This whole thing is just ridiculous.
I use both claude code and cursor! actually works ok for me, can probably run claude code inside a cursor terminal also but I haven’t tried it yet. I prefer separate windows.
