I am a Cursor Pro+ user and I keep getting a “Connection Error: The connection stalled” message while using the Agent. My internet is working fine on other apps, but Cursor shows “Network disconnected.”

Hey, thanks for the report.

Try this workaround. It helped other users with the same stack:

  1. Close Cursor
  2. Rename the project folder in Finder (for example MyProject → MyProject_v2)
  3. Reopen it in Cursor

This resets a corrupted local index. Here are resolved threads with the same error:

If it doesn’t help, please send:

  • Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics (screenshot)
  • Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console (if there are any red errors)
  • Whether you’re using a firewall, antivirus, or a corporate VPN (Zscaler, etc.)
