The thinking accordion auto collapse even manually expanded, when agent reply new content block
Steps to Reproduce
Ask anything, hopefully the agent is going to have a multiple rounds of reply.
expand a thinking accordion,
when a new content block started, this thinking accordion get collapsed.
Expected Behavior
It should not collapse, if manually expanded, or even better, we have a setting to expand everything by default.
Hey, thanks for the report and the clear steps. We can reproduce it. The thinking block collapses back to the folded state right when streaming for that block ends, even if you expanded it manually. That’s a bug on our side, not by design.
We’ve reported it internally, but we can’t share an ETA for a fix yet. The request for an option to keep everything expanded by default also isn’t new. There are a couple of threads on the same topic:

This is the same bug described above. The thinking block collapses when streaming finishes, even if you expanded it manually. We can reproduce it and we’ve filed it internally. I can’t share an ETA for a fix yet.

@deanrie Today I’ve started looking for a better IDE - honestly, I need to see what direction the model is thinking and I spend my ENTIRE DAY clicking to reopen “thinking” and then copy/pasting streaming words so I can review what is being said BECAUSE THE DAMN THING CLOSES ALL THE TIME. Then I have to chase the next one and then next one in order to keep up. Please for the love of the Gods, give the users the option to keep it open.
Hey, I hear you. Having to keep reopening the thinking block so you don’t lose the model’s train of thought in real time is really draining.
This is the same bug described above. The block collapses when streaming ends, even if you opened it manually. We’ve reproduced it and logged it internally.
The request for a separate option to keep everything expanded by default is also on our radar, and we’re tracking it in parallel with this bug.
