**The Problem:**

- Microsoft recently removed the download option from [marketplace.visualstudio.com](http://marketplace.visualstudio.com), making it much harder for users of editors like Cursor to manually install extensions from .vsix files.
_(there used to be a Download link under resources.)_

**The Solution:**

- Open _Visual Studio Code_.
- Search for the extension in the sidebar.
- Click on the result to open it in a full window.
- Click the gear icon, and select ‘_Download VSIX_’ from the menu.
- Now you can use ‘_Show and Run Commands_’, ‘_Extensions: Install from VSIX…_’ from the search bar as usual in Cursor.

This might be common knowledge amongst experienced VSC users, but not those who started coding with Cursor.

Anyway, I was looking for a workaround myself so thought I’d share in case it helps anyone else… ✌
