Not a duplicate report for closure — additional evidence: touch works in VS Code + Claude Code on the same hardware (2026).
Summary
Please add touch-screen scroll support for the AI/Agent conversation pane (input + output) on Windows.
Related threads were closed or merged as a “known limitation” (e.g. #157737 merged into #150325). I am opening a new feature request with additional reproduction data from 2026.
Problem
On a Windows 11 touch laptop, finger scrolling does not work in:
- Classic IDE: Agent / AI chat (input + output)
- Agents Window: agent conversation view
It does work in other parts of Cursor (e.g. file/editor area, agent list — per related reports) and in other apps on the same machine.
Why this looks feasible (not “touch hardware broken”)

So on the same PC, touch scrolling works in VS Code’s agent/chat UI but not in Cursor’s agent conversation UI. This suggests a Cursor-specific gap, not a general Windows or Electron limitation on this device.
Hardware (DxDiag summary, 2026-05-20)
- Lenovo 21NXCTO1WW
- Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, Build 26200
- Internal display 1920×1200, 150% DPI
- Intel Core Ultra 5 225H, 32GB RAM
- HIDI2C touch devices present; DxDiag Input: No problems found
Steps to reproduce
- Windows 11 touch laptop, Cursor 3.1.x.
- Open an agent conversation (classic side panel or Agents Window).
- Try finger scroll on the conversation area → no scroll.
- Same machine: VS Code + Claude Code chat → finger scroll works.
Expected behavior
Finger touch scrolling in the agent conversation pane, similar to VS Code + Claude Code and other Cursor panes.

Impact
