Unable to configured advanced integration to Github

Describe the Bug

Hello Cursor community,

on the Cursor dashboard, under integrations there is an advanced section which shows a Github enterprise integration.

I would like to set that up for my organization which is a Github enterprise organization, but my organization does not have a github domain with the name of the company in it.

So I tried to setup it with github.com url and setting the optional organization field as well, but I am getting the error: “Failed to register the Github Enterprise application: GitHub.com is not a valid GitHub Enterprise hostname”

Do I need to have the hostname of github that includes the name of my organization to set this up?

Thank you in advance for any pointers about this issue!

Steps to Reproduce

On the Cursor dashboard on the web:

  1. Go to integrations
  2. Click on Advanced
  3. Under Github Enterprise type:
3.1 on the first box type the github domain
3.2 on the second box type a valid organization name in Github
  4. Click register

Expected Behavior

I expected that the Github Enterprise setup would work

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

hi @lucasramos and thank you for your post.

From the details you shared I can see you are not using GitHub Enterprise but regular GitHub as the domain is github.com instead of a custom self hosted domain.

Therefore connect your GitHub using the regular GitHub integration in Cursor.
