# Unable to Connect to Model Providers Except Gemini-2.5-Pro for Several Days

Hi team,

For the past 4–5 days, I’ve been consistently getting the following error when trying to connect to any model **except** `gemini-2.5-pro`:

> _We’re having trouble connecting to the model provider. This might be temporary – please try again in a moment._  
> _(Request ID: 5f074858-30f0-4a2f-87f6-7ef47f329857)_

This issue persists across different sessions and projects. I’ve tried the usual steps (restarting Cursor, checking internet connection, etc.), but nothing seems to resolve it.

Only `gemini-2.5-pro` works reliably — all others fail with the above error.

Is this a known issue or something related to my environment/settings?

Would appreciate any insights or guidance!
