It shows this “Unknown model ID: claude-opus-4-7-thinking-high” when I try to use Opus 4.7 High.

Select the new Opus 4.7 High model and try sending a message.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, this is a known bug on our side. BadModelName happens before the request even gets sent to Anthropic. We’re tracking the issue, but I can’t share an exact ETA for a fix yet.

As a workaround, switch to Auto mode or pick a different model, like Claude Sonnet or the regular Opus without -thinking-high. Those resolve through a different path and work fine.

If there’s an update on the fix, I’ll reply in the thread.

I’m now getting it with gpt-5.4-high

This is accompanied for me with all of the thinking models disappearing from cursor settings - models. Now it just shows regular, no thinking options at all.
