I use cursor for hobby projects. Neither Claude 4 or Gemini 2.5 could assist with an instruction ( I could write it, but why). O3 I tried for fun and solved it almost immediately. The problem statement had to do with state machines in a bounded context, the host application in Go with Lua embedded.
I find o3 to be on a higher level than the rest of the LLM’s interms of practical intelligence, the solutions he provides are beyond Claude’s ability. o3 obviously had much deeper and extensive training. I bring in Sonnet-4 or 3.5 in to debug the nuts and bolts stuff and put a finished edge on the o3 code products.
