Updating Cursor reloaded all Electron-based apps

I updated Cursor on 4/3/2025 at ~12:20pm ET by clicking update on the modal that popped up on the bottom left of the window. All the apps that I know use Electron reloaded. I haven’t tried reproducing it, although I guess I can try installing an earlier version of Cursor at some point if this is not expected, and you’d like follow up.

OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100

Not critical (for me) but perhaps not ideal either. I suppose it could be related to something else, but it seems a bit suspicious re the Electron similarity.

I just realized that Explorer crashed when I updated Cursor (my clock was frozen), so Electron reloading may have been a side effect of that. This may be one worth closing unless you hear from others about a similar issue.
