Urgent: Pro Plan - Chat stuck on "Generating..." since March 31 (macOS)

Hi everyone and Cursor team,

I am a Pro Plan user and have been experiencing a critical issue where the AI Chat is completely non-functional since yesterday (March 31, JST).

Symptoms:

  • Every message gets stuck on “Generating…” and eventually fails with “Taking longer than expected…”.

  • This happens even with simple text like “test” without any @ references.

  • The issue persists across different projects and new files.

Environment:

  • Cursor Version: 2.6.22

  • OS: macOS

  • Plan: Pro (Auto / Claude 3.5 Sonnet / GPT-4o)

Troubleshooting already tried (None worked):

  • Logging out and back in (both App and Web).

  • “Developer: Reload Window”.

  • Switching models manually (Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, etc.).

  • Disabling Codebase Indexing.

  • Checking VPN/Network settings (no issues found).

Since I am on a Pro Plan and haven’t been able to work for over 24 hours, this is a major blocker. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Cursor team, could you please investigate if there is an account-specific or server-side issue?

Does this stop you from using Cursor?
