Using Cursor .45 behind Org's VPN, working perfect than stops!

Thanks for reporting a bug you have found in Cursor!
Please add the following info to help us diagnose your issue:

Using composer in .45 (only model that works on my org laptop) works perfectly for days and days and getting a ton done now, all of a sudden, I get this

Please update to the latest version of Cursor at Downloads | Cursor - The AI Code Editor to continue using the Agent

and nothing works at all. I have a pro account.

Help!

Worked great until about an hour ago and now won’t work at all.

Can’t find any mention or anything about this.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: Explain how to reproduce the bug (if known)

:laptop: Tell us your operating system and your Cursor version (e.g., Windows, 0.x.x).
:prohibited: Tell us if the issue stops you from using Cursor.

Any reason you can’t update?

All versions and platforms options (including system / user etc.) available here: https://www.downloadcursor.app/

Yes.

Sorry, I did read that - is there any reason that 0.45 is the only version that will run on your org laptop?

I’m sorry, this is the constraint I am up against. Updating is not an option. I’ve done it, the ai agent does not work, nor does chat work, for any model older than .45.

Can you try turning off http2 in the VSCode Settings

I just want to verify we are addressing the same question. I am not looking to upgrade. That is a non starter, I’ve proven this does not work.

Do you feel turning off Http2 will clear the ‘Please update cursor’ error that appeared out of nowhere this afternoon? If yes, than I will try.

No, versions older than 46 won’t be supported moving forward. Unfortunately we can’t support old versions forever.

Lots of fixes have gone in the last few build to help around the VPN issues, and turning off http2 usually solves it

I’ve had the latest build, just two weeks ago, and the manual mode in composer did not work and the agent has never worked in any build. I don’t WANT to be on .45. It is out of necessity because that is all I could get to work. (and yes, I had http2 turned off).

Same here. I’m thinking of unsubscribing because of this.

If you’re having VPN issues, please post a screenshot of 0.51.x under Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics

Sadly, this is the issue…

Cursor development is fast-paced and older versions cannot be supported by the team.

You will need to figure out WHY you can’t upgrade, and I’m sure the team will continue to help you work it out.

You’re also missing out on a ton of new features!

Please try the latest 0.51.2 (downloadcursor.app), both system & user versions (if you’re on Windows) and post the diagnostics as requested.
