If I connect my personal Gemini API key to Cursor, does usage still count against Cursor’s limits, or only against my Gemini quota? How does billing and rate limiting work in this setup?
putting in your own API key for a model family (Gemini in this case) will prioritize the API at cost. it does not count against your Cursor limits
billing/rate limiting, etc, would then all be handled within your Google account

@jakehandy is right, and important to remember that for Teams/Enterprise users, there is a Cursor Token Fee, BYOK or not.
