Warning on cursor upgrade to 2.2

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I upgraded to cursor 2.2… I know I should know better by now but I wanted to upgrade to see the new editor.

Anyway, upgrading to 2.2 caused a bunch of bugs in the AI chat - chats constantly hanging and not completing, chats not starting, script calls causing chats to hang etc.

I downgraded back to the 2.1 version and all issues are resolved and chats are now working fast and reliably again.

Kind of annoying that cursor releases seem to reliably have lots of bugs - I want to upgrade but every time I do I regret it and roll back.

Steps to Reproduce

Upgrade to 2.2 and try to use it for ai chats

Expected Behavior

AI chats should work lol

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue with version 2.2.x - several users have reported AI chat freezes and performance problems:

The team is working on a fix. For now, I recommend staying on the stable 2.1.x release, as you already did. Please keep an eye on forum updates.
