Hi @HorstHauser Thank you for the post. We are exploring a new model picker design, and it is showing up on your account. When Grok 4.5 is your selected model, the button leads with reasoning effort (the “High” you’re seeing) instead of the model name.
You can still see exactly what model you have chosen if you click the picker and check the bottom row. It shows your current model, and opening it gives you the full list with the search field already focused. I appreciate your feedback, and I’m sharing it with the team.
Kevin … seriously… WHY??? There’s an entire LINE in that section where they could even display MORE information about the model so you can take it all in at a glance. Who in the world comes up with such nonsense?
Hi @HorstHauser Thank you for sharing your feedback. We do ship quickly and try new features - not every one of them sticks and will remain around permanently. We’ll continue to revolve and refine the model picker.
