When "Projects" feature used non of the a customed tooling is working properly

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When working with the “Projects feature” features like changes, browser, canvas are not working properly they don’t show correct changes agent cannot create canvases. and browser cannot connect to server via proxy etc like normal agents. But all these tool still there still look like they gonna work

Steps to Reproduce

Create a “Project” make some changes and ask your agent to create a canvas as well

Expected Behavior

Similar experience to chats maybe like using /multitask because the main chat doesn’t do things it asks other agents to do the work but overall experience is disappointing.

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey @Aykut_Alpgiray_Ates, thanks for the report!

Quick context: the Project’s main chat is a coordinator that hands the work to project agents on their own machines, so the Changes and Browser tabs currently follow the coordinator, not the worker you’ve selected. That’s why they look off. Workarounds in the meantime:

  • Canvas: ask for the output as a Markdown doc or Mermaid diagram in the Project, or make the canvas from a regular (non-Project) agent, where it renders fine.
  • Changes/diffs: review a worker’s code via its PR (or have it push its branch so you can check it out locally) rather than the Changes tab.
  • Browser/dev server: select the worker’s tab and use the Open Desktop pill above the prompt to open that worker’s machine, where you can reach the server it’s running.

The Changes and canvas gaps aren’t intended behavior and are issues we’re tracking. On the browser side, was that a proxy error on a plain cloud agent, or specifically the Project Browser tab not reaching a worker’s server? A screenshot and the exact URL would help me confirm.

Just running dev server on cloud agent on normal chats internal browser can connect to it. But on projects I failed to set it up.
