Describe the Bug

When you use design mode in a browser tab and submit a comment to an agent, the element selector UI remains on highlighting elements in blue with the crosshair, but you can’t actually click to add additional comments. You have to turn Design mode OFF and then ON again to get comments back or properly hide the element highlighting.

Steps to Reproduce

Open browser and go to page.

Turn on design mode, select an element, add a comment, submit.

Note that element selection highlighting remains but you cannot actually select an element or submit a new comment.

Expected Behavior

You should be able to continue submitting comments with the element selector.

Hey, thanks for the detailed report and clear steps. That really helps.

I shared what you described with the team: the highlight and crosshair stay after submit, but clicks stop selecting items, and toggling Design mode off and back on fixes it.

One thing that would help narrow it down: does this happen when your comment goes into an existing thread, when it starts a new one, or both?

For now, your workaround is the best option: switch Design mode OFF, then ON again. I’ll post here if there’s an update.
