I used more than 90percent other models and about 50percent cursor models. But today i just open cursor, and there is no cursor grok. Why?
Hey @Stefi_Stefi, thanks for the post!
Grok is still in Cursor. It just got renamed: “Cursor Grok 4.6” now shows up as Grok 4.6, and there’s a newer Grok 4.7 that launched this week.
To find it:
- Open the model picker in the chat input.
- Type “Grok” in the search box.
- If you don’t see Grok 4.6 or Grok 4.7, open Cursor Settings (Ctrl+Shift+J, or Cmd+Shift+J on Mac), go to Models, and turn on Grok 4.6 and/or Grok 4.7.
If neither appears there either, send a screenshot of your model list, your Cursor version (Help → About, or Cursor → About Cursor on Mac), and the email you sign in to Cursor with, and we’ll take a look.
thank you, so cursor models are grok and composer?
Yes, that’s correct! The Cursor Models pool is Grok 4.7, Grok 4.6, Grok 4.5, and Composer 2.5. They still count as Cursor models even though Grok no longer shows “Cursor” in the picker.
Claude, GPT, Gemini, and the other third-party models use the separate Other Models pool.
Both pools show in Cursor Settings and on the Spending tab of your dashboard: Models & Pricing | Cursor Docs
