Where is the MCP Setting

When I click on “Open MCP Settings” inside the Agent Window, it just opens the general Cursor Settings and I do’t find the specific MCP setting.

i couldn’t find it myself as well. but you can find it through search in settings

Hey, thanks for the report. Your setup is fine. The MCP settings just moved from Cursor Settings to the new Customize section. On your build, looks like 3.9.16, the Open MCP Settings button doesn’t know about the move yet, so it opens General.

What you can do:

  1. Update Cursor to the latest version. After that, Open MCP Settings will open Customize → MCP directly.
  2. Until you update, open Customize manually: Cmd+Ctrl+Shift+P → Open Customize, then pick the MCP tab. Or use Settings search like mentioned above, thanks @I_Am_The_Internet for the screenshot.
  3. If you prefer files, configs still work the same: ~/.cursor/mcp.json user scope and <project>/.cursor/mcp.json project scope. The MCP servers didn’t go anywhere, only the UI changed.

Let me know if, after updating, the button still goes to the wrong place.
