Hi! Because of Google For Startups program i received free access to gemini and claude models for a year.
I decided to give cursor a try, and am now on a Pro tier right now and love it. In a week the trial is over, and i am not sure if i should stay on Pro or downgrade to free? I am going to use gemini and claude only.
Does the free tier support adding api keys or is it a pro feature?

Hey, using your own API keys requires the Pro plan. This feature isn’t available on the Free tier.
So if you want to use your Gemini and Claude keys (which you got through Google for Startups), you’ll need to stay on Pro after the trial ends.
The upside is that with your own API keys, you pay only the providers (Google/Anthropic) directly at their rates, and you don’t use up Cursor’s limits. So a Pro subscription ($20/month) plus your free keys for a year is a pretty good combo.
On the Free tier, you only get the basic limits for Cursor models, with no option to add your own keys.
