Why am I getting early release updates?

Describe the Bug

I am getting early access updates even though ‘Update Access’ is set to ‘Default’ in the settings. I am now on 2.0.11 even though it isn’t the stable version yet.

Steps to Reproduce

Not sure how to reproduce it.

Expected Behavior

It shouldn’t update to early access releases.

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Thanks for reporting! After changing your Update Access setting to “Default”, you need to manually trigger a channel switch:

  1. Wait a moment after changing the setting
  2. Go to Cursor menu (top left) > Check for Updates
  3. Install the update and restart

This should move you to the latest stable/default version.
