# Why do I need to subscribe? (AKA What do the features do for me?)

Hi all,

First I would like to express my enthusiasm for Cursor.For whatever it’s worth my brackground is as a systems engineer that codes in Python, Dart/Flutter, PowerShell, and Javascript building anything from integrations/automations to small apps and the value of cursor is immediately apparent.  
I plan to use Cursor as a Tutor/mentor to help me get better with my chosen languages as well as a collaborator to review my code and suggest improvements. So with that said, What would subscribing to the pro plan do for me? I write all my own code and I ask the AI not to generate any code for me but rather to work through problems with me so I don’t think completions provide any value. It’s not clear what a “premium request” is either.

insight would be much appreciated!
