Why Do Some Users Get Composer-1 Free?

I’ve noticed that Composer-1 has been available for free to some users for a while, but not everyone gets access at the same time. Is this meant to stay free for all users in the future, or is the rollout intentionally limited?

If it’s only being offered to selected users, what’s the difference between those who receive early access and those who don’t? It seems like the availability keeps changing, so I’m trying to understand whether this is a test rollout or an actual long-term plan.

As far as I could tell, Ultra user’s had it for free first. I’ve recently got it as a Pro+ user – just as I reached the limit :rofl:

If it really is a GLM/Qwen tune, then that would be a nice perk for the higher plans. Although, I reckon this is being done to gather data for an improved model, as they are greater margins on this model than through: Anthropic, OpenAI, etc
