Hey @Rahul_Singh, thanks for the report!
When you create a cloud project from scratch, Cursor picks a name for your account from your profile name. The names it tries for you (“rahul-singh” and a couple of variants) are already taken, so project creation fails every time. You shouldn’t be seeing that, and it’s not something you misconfigured. This is an issue we’re tracking, and we’ve let the team know.
In the meantime, this should unblock you:
- Go to cursor.com and sign in.
- Open Dashboard, then Settings.
- Choose Claim handle. Pick something distinctive (for example, your forum username, or your name plus a number). A handle can’t be changed once it’s set, and something plain like “rahul-singh” will hit the same problem.
- Try creating the project from scratch with Cloud again.
Cursor will use that handle as the name it tries. If it still fails, reply with the handle you chose and I’ll take a closer look.
